I had a fabulous, low-key birthday weekend! I snuggled with my sweet baby girl, spent quality time with my husband, and even got out of the house a little bit. Saturday was my birthday, and we started the day with a newborn photo shoot for Miss Maddie Grace. The photographer was so sweet and I can not wait to get the pictures back – I already know they will be amazing. After that we had some downtime before my in-laws came over. We ordered carry out from one of our favorite Italian places and had Publix cake. It was a very nice day – and of course this year the best birthday present ever came about two and a half weeks early!
25 was an amazing year: I graduated law school, went to Europe for 2 weeks, took and passed the bar exam, bought a house, bought a new car, found out I was pregnant, and had a baby. Seriously, it’s going to be tough to top that, but I’m sure we will find a way! My life plan always included having my first baby at 26, so it’s crazy that I already had a little one when I turned 26. But on this one I must say I am okay with God’s plan trumping mine.
On Sunday we relaxed most of the day. Tom and I took Maddie Grace to the park near our house again and walked around some, but she was pretty fussy while we were there. We also went to Target and Tom stayed in the car with Maddie while I was allowed to freely roam Target, which felt amazing.
I love watching them cuddle. He might get mad that I post a shirtless picture of him, but it’s too sweet not to.
I’m so thrilled to be able to wear non-maternity clothes again! This is one of the shirts I purchased from Aro & Company while I was still pregnant, and I love it. They have super cute and affordable clothes, and get 10% off your purchase with the code CASUALCLAIRE10.
