If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen the absolutely adorable headwraps I’ve been dressing my baby girl in. They are from Sweet Child Shop, a shop that sells handmade headwraps for all ages (yes you, adults, can rock one of these headwraps too).
Erica, the woman behind Sweet Child Shop, writes:
“I’m a new mom to a baby girl and absolutely loving life as a family of three! Combining my southern roots, time spent in small town Minnesota, as well as being married to a Greek husband, I feel I can relate to many people I meet! I work part-time on the weekends as a hair stylist and spend the week with my precious baby girl. I’ve always been into fashion, hair accessories and trends; and now that I have a baby girl, my obsession has only grown! Sewing has always been a big part of my family, but it wasn’t until my daughter was born that I began to make headwraps. Once my friends saw them and were requesting them left and right, I decided to launch my shop and spread the love to all the little ladies out there. I love tribal fabrics, polka dots, hearts and bright colors. I strive to create consistent, comfortable, beautiful, high quality items. Feel free to visit Sweet Child Shop on Etsy and follow us on Instagram (@shopsweetchild) to view my handmade items!”
I received the Long Organic Scribble Headwrap and the Long Polka Dot Headwrap. I can honestly say that I love these headwraps, and Maddie Grace seems to love them as well. They arrived in the cutest packaging, and I’m always a sucker for cute packaging. The headwraps must be comfortable since MG lets me know immediately if something is not, and she has worn both for a whole day and not once messed with it or tried to take it off, as she has started doing with some headbands. They are easy to clean (machine washable), and seem incredibly well made. I have used both headwraps quite frequently for a few weeks now and they both still look brand new. I’m not someone that typically fishes for compliments, but I don’t mind them either. Every time I’ve had Maddie Grace wearing one of these headwraps I’ve had a ton of people come up and tell me how much they love it, and every picture I’ve posted of her in one I’ve gotten comments about how cute they are.
This black and white polka dot headwrap is stylish, easy to match with outfits, and made of a stretchy material that makes it fit MG’s head really well. This one is long enough to wrap twice and still have a bow, or wrap once and have an extra big floppy bow. The fabric is very soft and easy to work with.
The pink scribble head wrap is such a trendy print. Plus, I love rocking summer-ish colors like pink in the Fall (well really year round) because it makes me happy and just brightens things up. I’m very into organic fabrics so add that’s another pro. This headwrap is not stretchy like the polka dot one, but the material is still soft and comfortable; because it is not stretchy, and it is more stiff, it creates a different look and doesn’t mold to MG’s head as well, but that’s not a bad thing. As with the polka dot headwrap, I like that there are different options with this headwrap: you can wrap twice and tie in a not (the look I prefer) or wrap once and tie a bow. Both are cute and some days one might just work better than the other.
There are so many other adorable headwraps in the shop, you really need to check them all out. Here are a few others that I am eyeing:
