Tom took us to a much earned (by me for handling things solo all week) dinner at a nice-ish Italian spot close to our house. It was delicious. We took it easy the rest of the evening and began packing for our trip the next day but really just fell asleep watching Shark Tank.
This meant Saturday morning we were up early to frantically pack and get on the road for the wedding of some friends! We had the most beautiful drive ever through North Georgia up to Brasstown Valley in Young Harris (practically in North Carolina). Then we attended a perfect outdoor Fall wedding with gorgeous views of the mountains. The reception was also outdoors with a fun band, great food, and good company. It was an amazing evening for an absolutely amazing couple, congratulations Casey and Keith! And yes, Maddie Grace came with us, and was the best behaved she’s ever been, not making a single noise during the ceremony. Several people commented on how well behaved she was, we were pretty proud.
Sunday we had another beautiful drive home, and since we were driving right through Helen, GA, a little “alpine” village we stopped for lunch. It was incredibly crowded as Oktoberfest is going on, but we still had a nice time.
Now I can’t believe Thanksgiving and GA/FL week are upon us! We are going to be very busy all week, but I say that every week so that’s not saying much.
What are you doing to get ready for Halloween and what are you dressing up as? How many times are you going to watch Hocus Pocus this week? Let me know below!
SUCH sweet pictures!!!
Why thank you!!!
Your Fall weekend looks fabulous! I have totally slacked on taking advantage of the beauty of Fall. Normally we go up north and enjoy it, but we haven't made it up there yet,
I just love North Georgia! Unfortunately now it doesn't feel so much like Fall anymore, go away Winter!!!
and the baby is SO cute! 😀
Thank you!
