Friday night was one of my favorite yearly activities – our annual girls White Elephant Gift Exchange party. We all dressed up fancy and went to a nice restaurant, ate delicious food, and of course had so much fun with the gift exchange. I ended up with a gorgeous bowl with spoons and a bottle of wine so I was very happy.
Saturday we celebrated Christmas with my in-laws since they left to drive to New Jersey for Christmas yesterday. We had a Chinese food lunch, and opened presents. Maddie Grace really hit the jackpot with all the gifts her Grandma and Grandpa had for her. She has been playing nonstop with all her toys since we got home too. Tom and I also received some amazing presents and we enjoyed giving his family our presents for them as well. We spent most of the day there Saturday and were able to have some quality family time, which is always a good thing.
Sunday my college roommate came to visit so we went to Sweetwater Brewery, and my brother came along as well. We had a great time catching up with both of them, and then watched some Christmas movies and ate pizza afterwards.
The weekend went by too quickly as always and now we have a slam-packed week getting ready for the Holidays! Tomorrow we are driving down to Savannah and staying through January 1st, which will give us some much needed time in Savannah and time to spend with my dad and brother.
I hope everyone’s Holiday week is off to a great start!
