Maddie Grace got her first fever. We went to my MOPs meeting on Friday and she seemed fine except the fact she slept in way later than usual (which I was completely okay with). When I picked her up (she lasted the whole time) I asked her how she did and they said she was great! I had to stop at Hobby Lobby on the way home (I know my life is super interesting) which is where I noticed she had a green booger. Gross, I know, but true. That’s when I thought “hmmm maybe she’s getting sick.” Went home and took her temperature and sure enough it was 101 degrees. So not only did I make my child do all types of stuff when she was sick and should have been resting, but I’m that mom that exposed my childs germs to other children. Execute me now I know how terrible that is but I genuinely did not know. I don’t even take MG around children several days after she gets better from being sick because I so don’t want to be that mom that spreads the germs but looks like I couldn’t help it, I was that mom.
Tom got some really awesome work news last week so we were going to go celebrate Friday night but since we had a sick baby we got some take out Malaysian food (all about that Malaysian food) and watched Gossip Girls on Netflix. See, my life IS exciting.
Sunday MG seemed to be feeling a lot better so we ventured out with her for a picnic in the park since it was in the mid 70’s and sunny here. We went to Piedmont Park, one of my favorite spots in all of Atlanta, which was full of people out enjoying the gorgeous weather. Being outside seemed to really help Maddie Grace who had been SO fussy before we went and took a nice long nap in the stroller when we were there and then played around and seemed to have a great time.
Your husband watches gossip girl with you!?! That's so lucky!
