Today I wanted to share some products to bring with you to the hospital when in labor to make the experience more comfortable. Now don’t get me wrong, labor is not a comfortable experience, hence why I said more comfortable. I’m constantly getting asked by first time preggo friends what they need to make sure they bring along and here are the basics. Clothes, toiletries, baby clothes and items are all a discussion for a separate post. This is more about the little items you might not think to bring with you, like an AromaBreeze fragrance system to help you relax and not think about the hospital smell.
1) Water Bottle
Like the biggest one you can find. In the picture above I threw in the giant cups they give out at the hospital where I had Maddie Grace. The bigger the better!
Before you get an epidural (if you get one) you may want to walk around some, and the hospital floor is cold and gross so pack the most comfortable slippers you have.
Pack a few of your favorite pictures to look at to take your mind off the labor pains. I made sure I had a wedding picture, a picture with our whole family together and one of Tom and our cat.
4) AromaBreeze System and Fragrance Halos
I hate the smell of hospitals. It scares me and stresses me out. Since having Maddie Grace was the longest time I’ve ever spent in a hospital I needed to make sure I had a way to mask that smell so I could attempt to relax, which is where the AromaBreeze System comes in place. Hospitals won’t let you burn candles (clearly a fire hazard) but they do encourage bringing other fragrance items if that is something that will make you more comfortable. The AromaBreeze Fragrance System is affordable, waxless and child-friendly making it perfect to take to the hospital and use in your home once you bring the baby home. You can stick batteries in the System to take it with you on the go or you can plug it into the wall!
So not only are all the systems stylish and will make your hospital room a little more homey (every little thing helps) but they also smell amazing and will make the whole room smell great also. One of the things I love about the AromaBreeze system is that there are tons of scents and they are so easy to switch out. You seriously just pop the fragrance halo on and off to change them out.
Plus when you get home and before you leave for the hospital these babies work great to stylishly freshen up your home so they won’t just be used at the hospital. Make sure you follow the instructions VERY carefully when using your AromaBreeze and don’t forget that this product is only found at select Walmart stores and on Walmart.com. You’ll find them in candle aisle at Walmart!
