Easter is one of my favorite holidays. It’s a great time of year and it is such a significant day in the Christian religion. I kept accidentally saying that this was Maddie Grace’s first Easter when it was actually her second. But anyways, we had a very busy and fun filled weekend. Friday night we went to a friend’s house for dinner and margs to celebrate another friends birthday. It’s so nice to spend time with friends somewhere where you can actually hear each other talk!
Saturday we got up early for Spring family pictures (seriously can’t wait to get them back and share) and then headed to Revolution Doughnuts in Decatur where I had possibly the best doughnut of my life. It was a Maple Bourbon Cro-Dough and words can’t describe how delicious it is so if you live in the Atlanta area you really must go try it out for yourself. Afterwards we headed to the Beltline Boil in Atlanta – 11 of Atlanta’s top restaurants were battling for who could make the best Low Country Boil so we went and tried them all and voted on our favorites. It was a gorgeous day and there was live music and all you could eat – pretty much perfect.
Sunday was Easter! We went to church with Tom’s family (minus his mom) and lunch afterwards. We came home and worked around the house a little bit and then my brother came over for dinner. It was a great day. It was a great weekend.
Hopefully this is a great week but it’s already gross and rainy outside so I’m not sold on it yet. Plus it’s Spring Break so trying to go somewhere indoors like the Aquarium is going to be miserable. Any ideas for fun indoor activities to do with an almost 1 year old?
Great pictures! Sounds like a wonderful day. I just love that bow in her hair.
Thank you! I love that one too 🙂
Her little mocs are so dang cute! I think my daughter needs some!

Have you been to hippohop in atlanta? It is a great place to hang out on a rainy day.
No! I feel like it might be a little too much for one who doesn't really even walk yet though? Maybe in a few months I'll try it 🙂
