Mother’s Day is almost here so the next two days I’m going to be focusing on products that are great for moms and babies. Breastfeeding is one of the amazing things that comes with motherhood – for some women. [Don’t breastfeed? That’s awesome! It’s completely your choice not to and despite what some people may say there’s nothing wrong with formula, and how amazing is it that you have the option to use formula when women hundreds of years ago didn’t?] But I will say that I am still breastfeeding Maddie Grace, although figuring out how to wean her soon, and I love everything about it… well except those painful first two weeks and that time I got Thrush. I completely believe that there are a few things necessary to have a successful breastfeeding relationship with your baby. First is education. Lots of women switch to formula when they don’t have to because they don’t know better. Next is having the right accessories. There are many products that make breastfeeding easier, and I’m going to share two of those with you today, and one reader will be able to win these products to try for themselves!
Fairhaven Health, the maker of the incredible Milkies Milk-Saver which was a life-saver my first few months of motherhood, has two new products for us breastfeeding mamas. First up is their MilkiesĀ Nipple Nurture Balm. This stuff is great. It’s made from all-natural ingredients and formulated to provide relief an prevent cracking. I’ve used several nipple balms (kind of funny to be talking about this on here) and Milkies is my favorite!
All breastfeeding moms dread the leakage. I hate using reusable nursing pads (what a waste) and a lot of the cloth ones I’ve used have been rough, uncomfortable and don’t do their job well. The Milkies Softies Nursing Pads are easily the softest nursing pads I’ve ever touched which means they are super comfortable. Plus they are absorb ant and I haven’t had any leaking while using them!
