Sunday my husband presented me with a whole itinerary for the day to prove to me that he had planned it all out. It started with pastries from my favorite little bakery in bed so I knew it was going to be a great day. Next up was lunch on the Marietta Square where we spent some time in the square with my in-laws, and ate a great place with outdoor seating and live music.
Next on the itinerary was ice cream followed by a massage at one of the massage places near us. But lunch ran long and I wasn’t really in the mood for a massage – instead I wanted to go to a class at Atlanta’s Pink Barre which I was able to do thanks to Class Pass (if they have this in your area seriously try it for at least a month, such a great way to find new work out places). By the time I got home it was time for church where Maddie Grace made me the sweetest present I’ve ever gotten!
Finally on the itinerary was dinner cooked by Tom. He made shrimp and quinoa and it was delicious.
Mother’s Day this year was seriously one of those days that I would relive forever if I could. I love having a special day to celebrate and honor all moms and the work that we do for our children and families. I also thought of it as a day to celebrate Maddie Grace, because she’s the one who made me a mom and that’s the greatest gift of all. Hope all the mom’s out there enjoyed their days as much as I did and that everyone is having a great week!
It sounds perfect! Though I don't know how you could turn down a massage 🙂 I hate being the one to plan things because I'm indecisive so a whole day planned out for me would be heavenly!
