Every day until our pool opens seems like eternity. Because of that we’ve been hitting up the park a ton. The weather here has been almost too nice (although I think mother nature may have something up her sleeve for us this weekend) so we have been taking advantage of all the outdoor time we can get. We have this amazing park right by us that we go to all the time.
I received a Play Bump Box earlier this week and the theme was outdoor fun, which was perfect for us this time of year. In it was a Monkey Mat, Lollacup, and Babyganics sunscreen and hand sanitizer. I love everything in the box… except the hand sanitizer, which I get into below. The Monkey mat was my favorite though. It is so small and light but a great blanket to use at the park. The weighted corners are genius and it’s a really cute blanket. The Babyganics sunscreen really surprised me. I have another Babyganics sunscreen but a different type that I HATE. It’s sticky, impossible to rub in and only 30 SPF. This one is 50 SPF, rubs in easily, and not sticky. Not sure what Babyganics did to make this one so much better but they should do it with all their sunscreens. The Lollacup we actually already had, but it is a good cup. It’s cute, and I love how the weighted straw helps the straw find the liquid. It does leak when dropped on the floor or turned completely upside down but that’s the nature of the game with straw cups. This Bump Box would have cost $39.99, and since the value of the Monkey Mat and Lollacup alone is around $37 (without shipping or tax) this is a great deal and a really fun gift for new or expecting moms! To make it even better there is a 40% off coupon on the website when you purchase a subscription!
But now the Babyganics hand sanitizer that I am not a fan of. I would not recommend this to moms or caregivers of children. The top comes off to easily and it contains a chemical called benzalkonium chloride which is questionable.
I’m just so thankful that I stopped her before she was able to drink any so her daddy and I can go back to trying to make her laugh as much as possible. So here’s to today being a new day, that Maddie Grace forgives me when I mess up as a mom AND it being the freakin’ weekend so baby let’s have some fun!
That is crazy what happened with the sanitizer! I called poison control once when I accidentally put swimmers ear drops in my son's eye! (Yikes!)
Oh no! It's so scary when this stuff happens – thank goodness they exist!
