I’ve got a confession to make – I love chili cheese anything. Chili cheese dogs, burgers, fries… you name it, I’m probably eating it. These baked chili cheese fries with Hormel® chili with beans or without beans are easy to make at home and a delicious treat to share with your family and friends. I love making and serving them in a cast iron skillet, although you can totally make them if you don’t have one as well.
So want to try out this yummy treat? Here’s what you need to make enough to feed around 4 people:
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
1/2 Tablespoon Sea Salt
1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
2 Large Potatoes
1 Can Hormel® Chili (with or without beans)
1/2 Cup Cheddar Cheese
And here’s what you’ll do:
(1) Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cut up those potatoes into fries. (Not sure where to start? Cut them in half lengthwise and then start chopping into what looks like fries – it’s not hard.)
(2) In a bowl toss the potato fries with the oil, salt and pepper. Spread on a cookie sheet and bake in the oven around 40 minutes until potatoes are starting to turn brown.
(3) Take fries out of oven and transfer them to a cast iron skillet. Top with chili, and return to oven for another 10-15 minutes. Top with cheese and bake another 5 minutes. Allow to cool 5-10 minutes, serve and enjoy!
