You may know from my last post that both MG and I were a little under the weather this weekend. We are on the up and up now, but are hosting a play date later this week and do NOT want to spread this thing around! I’m a stickler for not spreading germs – I mean I sanitize everything in our house regularly, especially before and after we have people over, and even more so when those people are little ones. Because of this we always have Emergen-C in our house for the grown-ups. I kid you not, I typically drink one a day and definitely take them on all vacations with us. So why not find a fun way to use them at our play date this week to give all the adults a little immune support boost?
That’s why I developed this Play Date Punch using Emergen-C and Dasani water. It’s super tasty so the moms are going to love it! Not only does each one contain 7 B vitamins to enhance energy naturally without caffeine but they also have more vitamin C than 10 oranges and are super hydrating.
So what do you need? Here’s what will make you 6:
6 Emergen-C Tangerine Packets
1 Liter Ginger Ale
1 Liter Dasani Water
Vanilla Ice Cream
Here’s What You Do:
(1) Open one Emergen-C packet and pour into bottom of a glass. Allow guests to add a little Dasani and a little ginger ale based on their preferences and stir really well with straw. I know tangerine and ginger ale don’t sound like the best pair, but they actually taste amazing together. It would also be fun to play around with other soda/Emergen-C flavor combinations!
(2) Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
I bought everything I needed for this recipe (even the ice cream) at Walgreens. In June Walgreens shoppers can buy 1 30 count of Emergen-C and get 1 Dasani 1 Liter free!

I am an addict during cold and flu season but I've never thought of creating a yummy mix like this – I always just drink it warm! This is such a great idea!
Right? Seriously check out the other recipe ideas too – I'm amazed by what people have thought up!
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome 🙂
YUM!! What a healthy alternative to a root beer float 🙂
YES! Very similar in taste and so much fun!
