We’re so close to Halloween and that gets me SO excited. Why not have Halloween themed foods every night until then? Sounds good to me! This one is a hit with my whole family, especially Maddie Grace, my 18 month old daughter. Pillsbury crescent rolls and hot dogs fashioned to be festive for Halloween? Perfect.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 Can Pillsbury Crescents
1 Tablespoon Ketchup
8 Hot Dogs
1 Teaspoon Mustard (optional for eyes, can also use ketchup)
Here’s what you do:
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Roll out your crescent rolls and pinch together the perforated edges. Using a pizza cutter, cut thin strips in the crescent rolls about 1 centimeter wide for making the bandages. Brush a thin layer of ketchup onto the rolls.
Wrap the crescent roll strips around the hot dogs with the ketchup coated side touching the hot dog to somewhat resemble mummy bandages. Make sure you leave or make room for where the face will be.
Bake hot dogs for 15-18 minutes, until brown on top. Make the eyes by dotting on ketchup or mustard. Mustard shows up better, but if you’re a mustard hater like me Ketchup might be more up your alley.
Serve while warm and enjoy, they’re very tasty!
