Many of you know that I like to take pictures and I love making photo books for our family memories. This increases even more when we travel. For me it’s about trying to preserve every little memory that happens in our lives, because time is flying way too quickly and I want to make sure I remember all of these moments. That’s why I’ve always been a huge fan of photo books. I have made one for every significant event – our college years, engagement pictures, wedding pictures, each year of marriage, and every big trip our family has taken together. I’m always looking for creative ways to structure these books, and the best quality photo books I can find, which is why I’m excited to be sharing Blurb Books and the photo book I created from our trip to Germany here today.
I probably took around a thousand pictures on our trip to Germany in September. I spent a significant amount of time going through my pictures and picking out my favorites, and then editing those pictures. So of course I wanted to find a special way to preserve these memories. I love the different layout options Blurb Books has to offer, how easy it was to put together this book, and the amazing quality of the book I received – I have a huge stack of photo books and my Blurb Book blows the others away by far.
One thing I think is really cool about Blurb Books is you can use it to make actual books – have a special story you’ve written for your kids and pictures to go along with it? This is perfect for that. In fact my husband is already working on one since he likes to draw and will upload the pictures to go in the book with the text he’s written out. I really can’t wait to see how that turns out (and of course will keep you all updated). If you create your own book you can then sell it through Amazon, Blurb or the iBooks store.
There are also several different software options for creating your Blurb Book – you can do it all online without downloading any special software for a simple photo book, you can download their BookWright program for more options on photo books and for creating novels and magazines, or create a book using software you already have downloaded like Lightroom, iPhoto, or even from programs like Instagram and Facebook.
Maddie Grace loves going through our book from our trip with me. She loves to point at “daddy” “mama” and “woof woof” from our trip. Blurb Books would make an amazing gift for family members and loved ones this year, as well as just being a great way to preserve memories year round.
What do you do to preserve special memories? And what would you make a Blurb Book of? I’d love to hear more below!
Thank you Blurb Books for sponsoring this post.
I love putting photos all together like this!
I am a traditional scrapbook gal, but I love these! They are perfect "coffee table books" …I'm kind of protective over my scrapbooks, but these are perfect to have out and share (even with my little people around!)
Oh my goodness, your pictures are like a fairy tale book! Absolutely gorgeous. I just ordered a photo book for my mother-in-law and am going to make one for my husband for Christmas.
You made such a cute book!
What a fun book and such a great way to showcase your trip and the pictures you took for forever! 🙂 Thank you for sharing!

I love photo books, and this one looks awesome. I also like to give them as gifts to the grandparents.
We love blurb and did our wedding album through them! I have also used them to export my blog and turn into book form! 😀
This is awesome! I do one of these books for my parents every year with pictures of us and our kids and all our activities throughout the year. They LOVE it and use it as their "brag" book whenever people come over.
