I wanted to get a head start on my Mother’s Day gift guide this year. Holidays tend to sneak up on us and now that I’m a mom and realize what a special day it is, I think it’s one that deserves some extra planning and preparation. I’m a sucker for anything and everything sentimental and meaningful. Like I want everything to have a sweet story behind it. And I’m not that into buying jewelry. I try to stick with a few simple pieces, but love getting nice jewelry from my husband to commemorate special occasions. That’s why I’m kind of obsessed with Maps by A. Jaffe and their awesome necklaces. They’re gorgeous, simple, classy, and each one has a story special to you behind it. I had a hard time deciding on a map for my necklace. Ultimately I picked Athens, GA, which is one of the best places in the world. I mean, it’s where I spent 4 amazing years in college, and where Tom and I started dating, and where he proposed to me. I placed my diamond to be right where Tom proposed to me on UGA’s north campus, and had the back engraved with the location and date that he proposed.
