I know I’ve mentioned it before, but our house is officially on the market. And it has been for about a month. We are in a weird place where we can’t put in an offer for a new house unless our house is under contract. But regardless I’m dreaming of how I’m going to set up our new house. One thing I think about a lot is the kids rooms so I’ve been stalking all creative kids room decor. Of course we do love our current house and will be sad to leave it, but it will be good to move on to new things as well.
Of course I’m wanting to start from scratch in every room, especially the kids rooms. I can’t do the pink walls in Maddie Grace’s room any more. I think every room should be a neutral color and then we’ll build from there. I’m still in the brainstorming phase of this project but I’m getting so many awesome ideas from checking out Minted.com. Seriously there is so much gorgeous stuff!
So I’m seriously just getting started but first up I ordered these amazing ABC Stamp Curtains and the Little Artist Shelf for Maddie Grace’s new room. I like the modern but still playful look of the curtains and that the shelf will be used for displaying Maddie Grace’s artwork on. We also have one of the Minted teepee’s in a gender neutral pattern for the new play room. I love that they are made with unique fabrics that kids will love! And seriously you can find outer space, cactus, floral, whales, and more themes, or you can create a custom one!
Another fun way to play with a creative kids room theme is with lamp shades and throw pillows. On Minted.com you’ll find shades and pillows made from different animal printed and patterned fabrics, like my favorite dinosaur one. Or check out these pineapple pillows.
And last but certainly not least you can use a gallery wall in a kids room to really tie it together. I want to add some prints with sweet sayings like “i love you so” mixed with themed prints for each kids room like a nautical one in Tripp’s or this custom ballerina one in Maddie Grace’s. You’ll seriously find at least one print to meet any theme on Minted.
So here’s to new things and new spaces to fill with love and laughter, and pretty things. And hopefully a house with better natural light because #blogging. Although we will certainly miss our home now:
