Ever since we moved into our house, something just hasn’t felt ‘right’ about our bedroom. It still felt disheveled, thrown together, and not the happy place I want my bedroom to be. And then my kid left a crayon in the comforter when I washed it and turned it a splotchy blue color and I knew it was time for an overhaul. But, being on a budget, it needed to be a little overhaul. I hated our headboard, beading, and lamps, and decided to switch them all out and we went from this:
to this:
Seriously, it’s a thousand times better now. More peaceful, put together, and clearly our cat’s favorite spot in the house. The key to really pulling this whole room together is the lamps which are from Lamps Plus. They are awesome – not only in that they have the perfect look for this room, but in this cool feature:
Yep, a built in nightlight. This is awesome for us since I usually want some light on without having a whole lamp on. Makes it easy for if anyone has to get up and run to the restroom or if a little person wanders in to climb into bed with us.
But seriously. The perfect new lamps, fresh new bedding, and an easy, simple white headboard really turned this whole room around. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out (for now). Next on my list is finding a wooden lettered sign to go above the bed but I’m not in a rush.
If you love Lamps as much as I do make sure you check out Lamps Plus and head over to my Instagram for the chance to win $200 to spend on lamps!
What’s the next home project you’re working on?
Wow, you did awesome! I love how you kept earth tones. Your new head board was my favorite update! Good job and thanks for sharing!
Those are super pretty lamps. I currently don’t have anything next to my bed so when hubby says lights out I dont have a choice lol
Your makeover looks wonderful! I love the new headboard!
Your bedroom looks amazing! I am trying to convince my husband to work in some projects as well in my bedroom. My idea is to create a center point like a shiplap panel behind the bed, add a huge rug, repaint the side tables and add a beautiful art work. I will see if I make this happen.Lol
