*Thank you James Avery for sponsoring this post. Regardless all thoughts and opinions are my own and I only recommend products and brands I truly love.
It’s funny. For a while Christmas had lost it’s splendor in my life. It was so special as a kid and I have the most amazing memories of my childhood Christmases. But then I was an adult. And my brother was as well. Our parents didn’t live together and Christmas started to feel like any other day. I met Tom and I started spending Christmases visiting his family in New Jersey and it was special but in a traveling and seeing relatives type of way. Then I had kids of my own and all of a sudden the magic of Christmas came back.
I think this year more than ever the Christmas magic is here. My 3.5 year old has an excitement and love for Christmas that is just contagious. She’s written notes to Santa every day since before Thanksgiving. She loves the decorations. the lights meeting Santa, watching Christmas movies, decorating Christmas cookies, and above all she’s excited about giving the presents she’s picked out for others which just warms my heart.
I really want to remember every moment of this Christmas season. Every time her eyes have lit up from something holiday related, and of course every time her little brother has as well (although he’s not 100% sure what’s going on). As I right this everyone is taking a break from decorating cookies for Santa to give Bubby some hugs before he goes to sleep.
One of the best ways to commemorate special occasions is through charms. Charms have held a special place in my heart since my mom gave me my late aunt’s charm bracelet when I was 9. From there I added more and more charms to it. I even had to get a new charm bracelet because no more would fit on the first! So one of the things I want every year for Christmas is a special charm – and this year I decided I wanted to have a special necklace that I could share with my baby girl.
My favorite place to pick out charms from is James Avery. All the charms are so beautiful, and made of sterling silver that shines just right. I let Maddie Grace take a look at all of their charms and she ended up picking the sweet kitty charm so I had to get that one. It’s the perfect weight for either a charm bracelet or wearing as a pendant on a necklace. We both love cats, especially our sweet kitty who Maddie Grace affectionately calls “kitty boo”. Every time I wear this necklace I’ll think of this holiday season and my sweet little girl and exactly how she was at this age.
And as a Christmas gift to all of you I’d like to give one of my readers one of these charms to either put on a necklace or bracelet. To enter just fill out the form below. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all and good luck!!!

Beautiful Ear earrings. Thanks for sharing.
The Arrowhead charm. This is because growing up in Indiana, we always learned about the Delaware, and other Indians, and there are quite a few arrowheads around to be found. I am with a third generation arrowhead finder, who really loves it, and finds them. I finally sensed and found my first one in 2017, and it was over 1,000 years old. It’s really neat to think I was the first human in centuries to have touched it and some person made it to help feed his family so long ago. The arrowhead is a symbol that connects us to our past ancestors.

Though its elaborate: I would say the “Graciela Ear Hooks with Blue Topaz”…. As with it I’d put it in a card that says something along the lines…. “The silver represents that of how precious you are to me. The hooks resemble how you & I are together you see. The Topaz is the stone you said was most loved by thee…. But the blue resembles the sky; in which (if I could) I’d give all to thee.In the mean time – ‘her name here’ I give onto you this gift till I can afford to buy a ring – as a replacement for the one I had to sell to pay medical bills – and with it I hope that will make our memories, laughs and love last to eternity!”
