It’s basketball season! I seriously never watch basketball until March. Then I suddenly get really into the games. I don’t fill out brackets anymore though after too many years of coming in last place. It’s so much fun to keep up with the games going on in March though! Cheering for different schools, hoping for upsets, and realizing that really anything could happen. Because of this I’ve also been focusing on foods that are ideal for snacking on during games. One thing our family is always a fan of is dips. So I came up with this loaded barbecue quest dip that everyone around here is obsessed with, Seriously – make extra because this doesn’t last long!
Here’s what you need:
8 Ounces Monterrey Jack Cheese, cubed
8 Ounces Curly’s Pulled Pork (1/2 container)
1 Green Chile
1 Tablespoon Chile Powder
1/4 Cup Milk
1 Tablespoon Butter
1/2 Cup Shredded Mexican Cheese Blend
Here’s what you do:
Melt Monterrey jack with butter and milk in a saucepan over medium-low heat.Stir frequently until smooth and melted.
Add green Chile, Chile powder, and half of the Mexican cheese blend.
Stir in barbecue.
Pour into serving bowl and top with remaining Mexican cheese blend.
Serve and enjoy!
You can never go wrong with barbecue mixed with cheese. It’s one of my favorite combinations. And this is perfect whether enjoying the game at home or watching it with friends or neighbors! Curly’s is my go to for barbecue because it’s already fully cooked, and has AMAZING flavor and is nice and tender. It’s seriously so delicious. You’ll find it in the refrigerated meat case at your grocery store!
