Ahhhh another rainy Monday. Perfect for recovering from a busy weekend. Or shopping. Maybe both?
But first, our weekend. Once again only iPhone pictures, but I did finally get the iPhone 6 so at least they are slightly better quality. I’m trying to be very careful with it though as I ordered an Otterbox for it that still hasn’t come yet.
This weekend was another amazing one. Well really we had a good week leading up to it as well. We finally are getting a taste of Fall weather here in Atlanta, and spent the night Wednesday outdoors at food truck night with some friends, where there is always live music and good food. Thursday night we had dinner at Your Pie made for us by some good friends who are training to open up their own franchise only about 10 minutes from our house! We also have a church small group that meets on Thursday nights that we always really enjoy.
Fresh mozzarella, spinach, and grilled chicken on wheat crust = the best pizza ever.
Friday afternoon Tom was working a recruiting event for his firm in Athens, so MG and I tagged around for a little bit of downtown shopping and had such a good time. Plus one of my sister-in-law’s roommates from college who we love met up with us. I found the perfect gameday dress (breastfeeding friendly of course) and a bracelet. And of course Saturday morning when I put on the dress I got deodorant on it and ended up wearing a black and white dress I picked up at Von Maur earlier in the week for $11. That’s life. Lucky for me MG loves shopping, or maybe just the attention she gets while out shopping.

Saturday we headed back to Athens for the game, although MG and I just stayed at our friends’ tailgate while Tom and a friend went to the game. There were 3 other babies at the tailgate during the game so it was a lot of fun!
Sunday Tom and a neighbor installed our new oven (YAY I can cook again) so MG and I went shopping for Fall picture clothes and found nothing. Seriously one of the most disappointing shopping trips of my life.
That afternoon some friends came over to watch the Falcons game and love on Maddie Grace! We made our favorite chicken dip, had some Sweetwater IPA, and basically enjoyed a fun “Fally” afternoon. Although I wanted to pick apples or go to a pumpkin patch everyone else unanimously agreed that the best Fall activities were drinking beer and watching football. But one weekend I will win and we will have what I consider a very Fall-y weekend.
Now my mission for this week is to find Fall picture outfits, so yes that means shopping every day (sorry Tom). I’m thinking maybe jeans (finally an excuse to by Hudson’s) and some type of fall top/cardigan for me, and jeans and a nice button up for Tom, and something for MG… I’m not even sure of a color scheme at this point. Any ideas?
I feel like sometimes tailgating is more exciting than the game! Definitely less crowded. You and your family are so adorable!
Thank you! And I agree – plus it's so much easier when babies require tickets to the game!
