One of my best friends since Freshman year of high school got engaged in April, and this weekend we had the privilege of throwing them an engagement party. Yes 6 months later, but better late than never to celebrate something this big
I’m in love with these invitations. I purchased the design on Etsy and printed them myself.
In our typical casual fashion, we went with the theme of a backyard barbecue. It’s the perfect time of year for a barbecue, and we have a great backyard for it. The weather on Saturday was absolutely perfect, we had corn hole and horseshoes and some music playing. The only thing that would have made it more perfect? An outdoor TV for watching the football games and a fire pit. Maybe we will invest in those before our next party.
Anyways I tried to get a little crafty with the decorations, despite having a baby which means I have little to no free time. I found this gorgeous burlap with lace and pearls ribbon that I wrapped around mason jars for flowers and for holding straws and silverware. I also made this banner using burlap and scrapbook paper, and my Cricut.
And of course I had to make special mason jars for the bride and groom to drink from:
Overall we had a great night with amazing friends and kicked off this celebration season for the happy couple. Can’t wait for the wedding in July!
Never ever give up
Very cute country like decor! <3 & thanks for joining in on the giveaway! Is it selfish of me to wish I could win it!? Ha!
No because I do too, I love Enjoy Essential!
ON Weds we wear pink 🙂
Those decorations are very cute! What a great idea for an engagement party.
Thank you! It was a lot of fun!!!
This is so cute!! I should invest in a cricut- for O's bday party, I cut letters out of paper for her banner, etc. – and it takes so long! Haha.
You should! I don't use it too often but when I do it helps so much, I love it!
Baby Mama tank! So cute!
That is such a cute invitation, and I love that the theme is unique! Very pretty ribbons on the jars, too 🙂
Thank you! It was all so easy to do too!
