Did y’all know that there is a big game coming up? Like it’s really soon? Like it’s tomorrow?!?!?
Yikes I kind of lost track of the days. I’ve been fighting the flu and my husband took baby girl to his parents house for the afternoon so I could rest aka start decorating and getting food ready for the game tomorrow. These tacos that I made for us for dinner are the perfect finger food to serve at your gathering tomorrow, so I wanted to go ahead and share these to help give all of you some inspiration.

You by no means need all of these for the tacos, I’m basically just showing off what I bought on my trip the grocery store. Tomorrow I will be making guacamole using the avocados not used for the tacos and this seasoning mix.
Here’s what you do need:
-1 Avocado
–Old El Paso Soft Taco Dinner Kit
-1 Pound Shrimp (more or less depending on how many people you are feeding)
-3 Tablespoons Butter
-1 Cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese
-2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
Here’s what you do:
(1) Pour butter into large frying pan and melt butter. Add shrimp and seasoning from the taco kit. Yes use the whole bag of seasoning – it might seem like too much but trust me it’s not. Cook shrimp around 3 minutes or until opaque.

I threw some fish in with my shrimp and they turned out delicious as well.
(2) Make your tacos by layering 3 shrimp, sprinkling with cheese, topping with avocado slices and finishing with taco sauce included in the kit.
(3) Serve, enjoy, and be impressed with yourself for making something so delicious.
I’ve been so sick the last few days and have hardly been able to eat anything but managed to find room for one of these tacos because they are amazing.
You can substitute shrimp with different things for this recipe and still have amazing tacos. Chicken, ground beef, fish, etc. And if you miss the big game tomorrow I here there’s another one in the sport of basketball that comes up at some point so you’ll have another excuse to have people over and entertain!
