Well at least today we aren’t as much as a mess as we were over the weekend. Thursday night I came down with the worst flu I’ve ever had in my life. Like more painful than childbirth flu. Maddie Grace started getting really congested on Thursday but never threw up or anything and she continued getting more congested and coughing over the weekend. Now I’ve picked up that cough. So I’m not sure if our sicknesses are related or not, but we were both pretty miserable all weekend. I would take us to the doctor today except we both seem to be getting better and with our terrible immune systems I’m not sure I want to sit in a germ infested room.
I keep hoping MG will just want to cuddle up with me but she still has a ton of energy despite her ailments.
Lucky for me Friday my husband was able to work from home since physically I couldn’t even pick up MG and he didn’t have to work on anything all weekend so he spent the entire time taking care of us. We are thanking God that he managed not to get sick and was able to be home with us because I seriously have no clue what we would have done if that hadn’t been the case.
On Wednesday, aka before the disaster hit our house, I surprised Tom when he got home from work with some Valentine’s themed treats. I made some mini brownies with X’s and O’s on them and some chicken nuggets inside heart shaped biscuits. Not just any heart shaped biscuits, but ones made from Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix
that I found at the store. I didn’t even know they sold red lobster biscuit mix but I am so glad that they do!
And I leave you with a picture of this cutie her first day of being sick.
What are you doing to start getting festive for Valentine’s Day?
I hope everyone is feeling better! So glad the hubs was able to save the day 🙂
Thank you sweet girl! We are on the up and up!
I want that glitter Y'all shirt in MY size! She's so cute!
Thank you! And me too 🙂
So glad I found your blog! Your little girl is the cutest! xo
