Okay I really wish my eyes were the color of hers. I mean come on. I have a feeling they are going to cause us some sleepless nights when she’s in high school. But at least all the sleepless nights we are having now will have prepared us for them. Maybe.
Anyways we had THE most glorious weather here in Atlanta all weekend. I mean it was just absolutely perfect. Unfortunately it’s on its way out again but I think I can speak for everyone in this area when I say it got us excited for the warmer weather ahead!
Saturday we did some work around the house and headed to a nearby park that has an awesome trail for hiking on and took some pictures for a fun collaboration I have coming up. Afterwards we got gelato and beer which we enjoyed on a lovely patio. Then Tom took Maddie Grace for father-daughter date night at Chick Fil A and I ran some errands, and we ended up the day with dinner with some good friends. On the way home Tom looked at me and said “today was a really good day” and I had to agree. We definitely didn’t get as much done in terms of the renovations we have going on and yardwork but we have all the time in the world for that and gorgeous days to spend quality time with your family don’t come all that often.
Sunday was different though. Still a gorgeous day but guess what we spent the entire day doing? Looking for MG’s beloved wubbanub that disappeared. It makes me sad to think all the time we wasted looking for it, when ultimately I ran to the mall and bought her a new one, although the only ones I could find were blue dinosaurs so that’s what she got. We did sneak in a family walk and went to church so at least the day had some redeeming points.
Now we are starting off the week with a rainy day and daydreaming about a vacation we are planning for the end of April. Any thoughts on good trips to take with a 1 year old?
The weather was amazing this weekend. I'm glad to see that the sun has decided to come out today too, though I'm sure it's cooler than it was yesterday. MG is growing so fast. It's so cool to watch babies grow. It happens too fast.
TOO fast! Ahhh it's crazy! And I hope that nice weather comes back!
I'm jealous of your gorgeous weather! It is snowing (again!) up here in New England – I'd love a sunny day! Looks & sounds like you all had a wonderful weekend together, even if Sunday was a bit of a loss – still time together 🙂
Ahhh but of course we would love some snow! Hope you're staying safe and warm!
