Grandma’s are so special. And while we appreciate them every day of the year, Mother’s Day is a good time to formally share with them how much we love them. Since we are going to be out of town and then really busy before Mother’s Day I wanted to make sure we had the gifts for the grandma’s squared away. The One Stop Shop has cards, stuffed animals, chocolate, plants, candles, pillows and more! Here are our top contenders for Mother’s Day gifts for the grandmothers:
1. Pretty Cards
Both my husband’s mom and mine appreciate a nice card, and American Greetings always has gorgeous ones that I know they will hold onto for years.
2. Her Favorite Chocolates
I mean what woman doesn’t appreciate chocolate? Give her some treats because Grandma deserves them!
3. Flowers For Her Garden
These are such a meaningful gift that will continue to give back! Every time Grandma looks at them she will be reminded of you and your kiddos and how much you care about her.
4. Homemade Baked Goods
Yummy baked goods that your littles helped bake with love are sure to be a hit with Grandma.
5. A Framed Family Picture
Both Grandma’s in our family are always telling me how much they would love more framed pictures of our family. I’ve picked up on the hints so now I know that this is the perfect gift for Grandma on any occasion
6. Meaningful jewelry
Grandma’s love sentimental pieces and what better than a necklace with your children’s name or initials on it?
7. Framed Artwork
If your children love to draw why not let them draw a special picture for Grandma and then put it in a nice frame for Grandma to hang in her home? Trust me – anyone who is a mom knows that the most beautiful works of art are the ones done by our children and Grandma will agree!
8. Handprints
I love crafts that involve handprints. You can plaster handprints of your newborn to hang on the wall or instruct your older children to paint handprint flowers on a flower pot for Grandma.
9. Crafts
Your kids will love doing a craft and Grandma will love receiving one that will brighten up her home!
10. Quality Time With The Kids
This is probably Grandma’s favorite. I think most Grandma’s wish they could spend more time with the grandkids so let them! Go on a picnic at the park or do a day trip to a nearby attraction. The whole family will love making memories and spending time together!
Getting a present for my mom is a little more difficult since she lives in Germany and we have to ship it, but the One Stop Shop still had plenty of options!
Do you have any special Mother’s Day traditions in your family? I’d love to hear them!
Thank you for all the ideas for Mother's Day gifts this year. I never think about plants and my stepmom loves plants! #client
