Okay my title isn’t accurate – we didn’t just bum around, we were very productive this weekend, but it kind of felt like we didn’t do much because we didn’t leave the house much. Thing is, we haven’t had many weekends where we have spent a lot of time around the house and not all been sick so this was our first chance to start tackling several projects that we have been putting off forever!
Shoes: Birkenstock
We also made an attempt to go car shopping for the first time for a new car for me, but were very disappointment when the dealership ignored us for an hour and a half so we left. I went to look at the Chevy Tahoe because I’m convinced that is the car I want, and I should probably test drive it first, but the dealership didn’t seem interested in making a sale so we will try a different one next weekend. I’d love to see if anyone here has any car recommendations too since I should look at more than one car – I’ve been driving a 2008 Jetta and it’s time for something bigger. I’d love a car with a usable third row (I’d like this car to last a long time and would love to have 3+ kids) that is also reliable and fun to drive. If you know something that fits this criteria PLEASE let me know so I can go check it out because I know nothing about cars or how to even start this process!
We just bought a GMC Acadia & love it!
I'll have to go test drive one! I love the way they look!
The Toyota Highlander is consistently ranked as the best mid-sized SUV with a third row. There is a hybrid version as well. We have two children so we aren't quite ready for the third row, plus those third rows eat up a lot of cargo space unless you get a large SUV. We have a Honda CRV which is perfect for us.
My husband actually has a Highlander and we love it! But yes you can't use the third row and have any cargo space is the downside!
I am in the same boat as you right now. I have two babes and want 3+. I am leaning towards the GMC Acadia but have yet to test drive it. I went to the Checy dealership too but they had me sitting there for over 2 hours so I never test drove the Tahoe or Subirban. The Acadia is more affordable anyway and I was super disappointed with the trunk space the Tahoe offered. If you test drive the Acadia, let us know if you liked it!! Good luck!
I love the way those look but didn't know anything about them! I'll have to go look at them especially if it's more affordable because that's a HUGE factor! Thank you!
Great post! Cute pictures and layout as well. Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you 🙂
I love my GMC Acadia! Plenty of room with the 3rd row but not as terrible on gas mileage as a Tahoe
Okay I HAVE to go look at this car that everyone is raving about!
I'm glad you had a nice weekend!
I have a Chevy Traverse and I love it so much! I'm going to be replacing it with another one next year!
That's another car I want to look at 🙂 Glad to hear you love it!
Nissan Armada. 3rd row, fun to drive, lots of space!
