This weekend was a whirlwind. Between my dad visiting (we so appreciated the babysitting) and Tom being in a wedding we stayed busy and it passed by entirely too quickly. Friday we had the rehearsal dinner, which was very nice and a lot of fun. We enjoyed catching up with some friends we hadn’t seen in a while, eating delicious food and celebrating a really great couple!
Saturday was the wedding itself. My dad came up in the day to help out with watching MG since he was on his way to north Georgia for a camping trip anyways. I tried to work on cleaning the house during the day (I’m way behind) and getting the guest room ready. Our house is kind of a disaster zone now because we are working on painting and redoing some of the rooms in our upstairs to get ready for the new baby! Tom was doing wedding activities all day so I was trying to manage MG with one arm and clean with another. The wedding was gorgeous though and once again an amazing wedding for an amazing couple! It’s funny though because this wedding was a polar opposite of the one we attended last weekend and both were great. The wedding last weekend was outdoors, at an old plantation home, and more on the contemporary side while still having some traditional elements. This wedding was in a church with the reception at a country club so completely indoors, and much more traditional and formal. I think both weddings fit the couples perfectly and I love seeing how the personality of the couple comes out in weddings. I posted this on Instagram but one of my favorite elements of the wedding this weekend was the incredible centerpiece on the main table at the reception. It was seriously out of this world, this picture doesn’t even do it justice.
Sunday we spent time with my dad and went to lunch with him and my brother, half of which Maddie Grace slept on Tom through which is something she rarely does anymore. I love those fleeting moments where she still seems like my little baby. They don’t happen often enough anymore.
This week we have lots of fun activities planned. I’m watching a friends baby today (it’s naptime for them both as I write this) and Maddie Grace is just loving on him which makes me hopeful for how she will handle the new baby. We also are celebrating a special girls second birthday this week! Tom and I are hoping to get a lot done around the house with this whole completely redecorating the upstairs thing. I know we should probably start with Maddie Grace’s big girls room, but instead I’m wanting to do some serious work on our master bedroom. I wrote a little piece on ways to reclaim your master bedroom on Mode that I’m using as my own inspiration that I would love for everyone to check out!

Where do you look for inspiration for home decorating? I’d love some ideas!
That center piece is so beautiful wow! How adorable does MG look in the first photo sleeping on Tom, bless my heart.
H won't sleep on me either :/ just on his dad! It looks like you guys had such a fun weekend!
Looks like such a fun weekend! Good luck with your upstairs overhaul, that sounds like a huge project but so exciting!
