With school, blogging, a heavy play date schedule, traveling… our fall is getting crazy busy, quickly. Makeup that can stay on all day, is easy to apply, and makes me look halfway alive is a must have in my life right now. Since I’m mostly a stay at home mom I almost always go for natural looks. Sometimes I’ll spice it up a little bit for a Saturday night but nothing too wild. That’s why I’m really excited to be sharing Pür Minerals with all of you.
For the average day I use Bare Minerals concealer, matte foundation, and mineral veil, topped with Benefit Cosmetic’s Hula bronzer. For blush my go to is Pür Minerals Cheek Stain in Rose. It’s super easy to apply and has great staying power. It’s not super pigmented which I love as I’m not into the clown look, and it blends in with my bronzer really nicely. The cheek stain is antioxidant-rich so it has anti-aging powers. Next I do a quick swipe of Pür Minerals Afterglow Illuminating Powder on my upper cheekbone as a highlighter. My skin is too oily to use this all over, but as a highlighter it adds the perfect amount of glow and shimmer and helps light my face up.
Then I move on to eyes, which is what takes me the longest in my getting ready process. I reach for my Pür Minerals Secret Crush Eye shadow Palette. I was pretty comfortable using my Urban Decay Naked and Naked 2 palettes forever until I tried out this one. Whereas I still love my Naked palettes, this is now the one I reach to more often. The eyeshadows all go on silky smooth, have great pigmentation, and I love the natural look of the colors in this palette, and that there is a mix of both shimmery and matte colors, although I wouldn’t mind more matte options. They blend together flawlessly and can be combined for a super light look or can be used to create a smoky eye look for a night out. The colors stay on all day even with my super oily lids which is really impressive. The brush that comes with the palette is surprisingly high quality and works really well for blending the colors.
For my every day look I use lust, which is a lighter matte color, to highlight my brow bones and as a base. I use passion, a shimmery rose color on my lids, and blend in muse to contour the crease area. If I want a little fancier of a look I use Rendezvouz, a dark matte color, to contour the crease area, add some of the light shimmer of Whisper above that, and use Admirer in the outer corner of my eye.
My daily go to eyeliner is Clinique’s Quickliner, and after a quick curl of my lashes I throw on Pür Minerals Big Look Mascara. I’ve used this mascara for a couple weeks now and have no problem with clumping throughout the day, or smudging or smearing which I can’t stand with mascara, and I love the length and volume it gives my lashes. It’s fortified with Argan Oil to nourish your lashes while wearing it.
Finally no look is complete without some lip color. To solve this problem I typically grab
Pür Minerals Lip Lure in Mystic and throw it in my purse and apply it when I reach a red light on our way to where we are going. This lip lacquer is very pigmented, while also being hydrating. Sometimes it’s actually a little too pigmented, but looks perfect with a little Pür Minerals Chateau Kisses Lip-Plumping Lip Gloss in Foxy layered on top.
I like to do completely honest reviews on my blog. Several companies
have sent me makeup products before, and if I don’t love them then
that’s what I write, or I choose not to write a review at all. I just
want to go ahead and say that I really do love all the Pür Minerals products that I
was sent to facilitate this post. They have all really impressed me with their quality, and I love that they are paraben free, don’t test on animals, and the products are actually really good for your skin, unlike a lot of makeup products out there.
