Our goal for this weekend was to leave our house as little as possible. Weird? We’ve just were so busy all week, and I’ve been incredibly low on energy, – I needed some days to mostly relax and work on some of our home projects as well as some blogging projects.
I was so excited to get our family Christmas card pictures taken on Saturday morning. I was set on having Christmas tree farm pictures this year and found the perfect photographer offering mini sessions for them. I mean check out this sneak peak – Amanda Nicole Photography is amazing, I can’t wait to see the rest! I woke up feeling swollen all over and exhausted, Maddie Grace screamed and cried the entire time, and somehow she still managed to get this gem.
After pictures we stopped by a gourmet donut shop close to where the pictures were that I keep hearing amazing things about. It definitely lived up to its reputation. The donuts were out of this world.
After some down time on Saturday we hit up the playground and did a family outing to Target. Party animals, right?
Sunday we actually succeeded in not leaving the house. We cleaned, organized, put a bunch of stuff in our attic, got the garage somewhat better looking, and tried to wash off our porch which was getting rather dirty. That one might still need some work. Sunday night we watched Christmas movies and drank hot chocolate – I’m trying to get Maddie Grace used to the idea of Santa since this Saturday we are doing some pictures with him and I’m hoping (though not optimistic) that she won’t be a crying, screaming mess.
Since we just had our pictures done I’ve also been seriously stalking the Christmas card collection on Minted! I love the gold foil look and all the classy designs minted has to offer and can’t wait to see how one of our pictures looks with one of these layouts.
I don’t know how I’m going to choose! They have so many foil pressed holiday cards and you can save 20% off your order of foil pressed cards now with the code FOIL – check them all out here!
Do you send out Christmas cards? Have you found the perfect design yet? I’d love to hear more below!
Sounds like you had a great weekend. I love the pictures that you showed…and those donuts!!! Yum!!!
Those Christmas cards are too cute!
I'd love to send some out this year.
