Like the originality of the title for this post? That shows how much energy I have right now. Serious zombie mode over here. Completely exhausted but can’t sleep, it’s fabulous. But all for a good cause. and only about 4 more weeks (more likely 5) so I can do it.
We had an awesome weekend that I’m sad is coming to a close as I write this – but hey only a 2 and a half day work week and then we are in full Christmas mode for a whole week and half! We started off the evening Thursday evening with my dad coming to visit. Maddie Grace absolutely adores her grandpa and had so much fun chasing him around the house, showing him all her new toys, and he even got to see some of her top notch dance moves. He joined us for music class Friday and helped when I babysat a friends’ two kids which was pretty awesome. We were sad he had to leave Saturday but he will be right back up here on Wednesday so we will see him again soon!
Saturday we decided to head to Ponce City Market, a newish dining/shopping center in Atlanta, since we have wanted to go for a while and still hadn’t made it. It was a super cool spot but unbearably crowded, which we really should have thought through better. We got lunch and ice cream and tried to shop around a little but ended up heading out pretty quickly.
We hadn’t been to church in a while since it seems every Sunday we have had something going on or Maddie Grace has been sick so we were excited to make it this week for the last service of the year. Afterwards we grabbed lunch at our favorite place (queso and tacos, yum) and headed home.
The preschool program at church sent all the kids home with cake mix and icing to have a birthday party for Jesus and of course I couldn’t wait (pregnancy problems) and went ahead and made us some mini cupcakes in the afternoon that Maddie Grace devoured.
So overall we had a good weekend although those house projects? Yep, didn’t get much done on them at all. There’s always all of next week, right? I hope everyone has an amazing, safe, and joyful holiday week full of lots of family, love, and good food!
Claire, pregnancy really agrees with you! You look fabulous and stylish. You also sound like super mom; Maddie is lucky to have you as such a caring, involved mom. What kind of music class is she in? Remind me, how old is she?
You are so sweet!! She's 20 months and just does a little 6 month – 4 year class at a place called The Music Class 🙂
You are such a stunning preggo 🙂 Merry Christmas Claire!
