I always tell people that the most important thing to surviving as a mom is a great group of mom friends. I have been so blessed to not only have a great group of internet mom friends, but also mom friends with similarly aged kids who we get together regularly with in real life. I do not know what I would do if it wasn’t for the many play dates we have each week. We try to mix it up and go to new parks, different people’s houses, and new lunch spots. Since we haven’t had people over in a while I wanted to host a play date, and figured why not make it a brunch play date. I can’t imagine that there’s a mom out there who doesn’t love brunch food, and as it had been raining last week and we couldn’t really go outside this was the perfect opportunity to get our kids together to play, and catch up on all the mom talk.
The brunch play date was a big success – we had a blast! Maddie Grace was thrilled to have all of her friends over and show them her toys, I loved getting to catch up with all the moms, we ate yummy food, and drank mimosas and Lipton Tea! There were two new babies there including Tripp so they got to be held and passed around. One of the older kids even cleaned up everything before they left (my house was seriously cleaner when they left than when they arrived) which was awesome.
Since a lot of my friends are pregnant and can’t drink mimosas, I made sure to serve Lipton Tea for another yummy drink. The new Lipton flavors we sampled are out of this world delicious, and designed to refresh the tea experience with bold and stimulating flavors. My favorite was the berry hibiscus – it’s fruity, sweet, and caffeine free! The apple cinnamon was also a big hit with my friends though and one described it as tasting like apple cider which is pretty accurate. I’m always a big green tea drinker and Lipton green tea is my favorite – I love it hot with just a dash of honey when it’s cold out like it was for our play date, or now that it’s gotten hot I love brewing several bags and making a pitcher full of the green tea and drinking it over ice! Lipton has updated their line of green teas which have a light, fresh taste, bright, clearer color, and a delightful aroma.
I'm a green tea girl. It has to be iced though!!!
I need that brunch tee in my life! Happy Friday girl!

I drink so much tea! It looks like it was a fun get together. 🙂

Love Lipton's new flavors. Playdates are so much fun, sanity saver for sure!
I actually tried the berry hibiscus tea today and LOVED it! I am a total sucker for fruity herbal teas. They are my favourite! Looks like you had a great play date!
