Our weekend was full of… yard work. Let’s be honest, it was full of much needed yard work. We let that slide a lot while expecting Tripp and while he was a newborn. The 2 kids under 2 excuse for neglecting everything only lasts so long, right? We actually pay for a yard service but they have been doing a not so great job lately. The owner has cancer and his survival chance is only 15% (which is really sad) so he’s selling the company and the last few months our yard has looked terrible but it’s hard to complain to him knowing what he is going through. So we made an effort to do a lot of yard work ourselves this weekend. If you follow me on snapchat [clairecervino] you may have even seen a cute little helper in the yard with daddy. So 20 bails of pine straw and a pressure washer later our yard is looking a lot better, and now the hedges are cut back enough that you can see our freshly washed porch.
Saturday I went to a fashion event at Macy’s sans kids which was a nice little break. Afterwards Tom’s parents came over and we ordered some pizza and just hung out at our house and enjoyed some time outdoors because the weather here has been beyond perfect.
Sunday was a big day – one of my best friends since high school is having a baby in May and I helped throw her a shower! It was a great shower and everyone seemed to have a really nice time and the sweet new baby got all types of good stuff! I really love loving on new babies and their mamas – it’s kind of my favorite.
My dress here is from Pink Blush and it’s my new go to dress for everything. I love how soft and breezy it is, and how easy it is for me to nurse baby Tripp in it. I’ll be wearing it every weekend for the next few months, I know it.
Now it’s already halfway through the week which is crazy! Happy hump day!
I love those Tory flats! I have the wedge version, and I really like that they're a bit understated.

Your comment about running after a baby… oh man! The first time I tried working out after I gave birth I couldn't do a single Pilate's roll up! I was horrified haha!
I love that aqua top; and the dress looks so comfortable! I really need some new clothes, lol. I'm trying really hard until I lose the last of the baby weight… le sigh. Yay for yard work, we've been doing quite a bit ourselves lately. 🙂
That maxi dress is so pretty and really flattering on you!
