I love summer style. It might be my favorite of seasons for fashion. Light, breezy, dresses galore. And what better way to accessorize than with some new frames? Yes, I mean glasses. In case you couldn’t tell, I spend a lot of time in front of the computer. Too much, really. But it’s what I do, and my eyes have definitely suffered from it. So I’m attempting to wear glasses more often. They help me see better, take the stress off my eyes while working, and I think they make the perfect final touch for a summer outfit.
I just got this new pair of frames that I’m obsessed with from JCPenney Optical. I went to the Northlake location in Atlanta, Georgia, and my whole experience was wonderful. I had an eye exam with the optometrist who did a great job figuring out the perfect prescription for me. And then my new friend George helped me pick out a pair of glasses. I have never met someone as passionate about what they do as this guy. He explained to me all about how important it is to him, and the rest of the staff at JCPenney Optical, to make sure everyone that comes in leaves with the glasses or contacts that are optically correct for them. Also, they want to make sure you look good in your glasses and have a good eye for that as well.
Every other time I’ve gotten glasses I’ve spent hours just staring at the frames on the wall, not sure which ones to pick out. It’s always been overwhelming. Well George solved that problem for me. He told me to sit down while he picked out some frames. He picked out ones of varying styles for me to try on, so that we got a feel of what types of frames I liked and was looking for. I tried on metal, rimless, plastic, large, small, colorful, and neutral. Once we narrowed it down to the size and that I liked plastic frames, George pulled a ton that met that description for me to compare. And turns out that my perfect glasses were in those very first frames I tried on. George is just that good. I ended up with a pair of Isaac Mizrahi frames that are tortoise shell with a little touch of purple. JCPenney Optical set me up with HD SolarACTIV lenses with ultra violet treatment, scratch coating, anti-reflective coating, and other fancy features. They are awesome.
A happy baby on the hip and a ornery toddler by your side are also great accessories if you ask me. But I love that I both see and look great in these glasses. It doesn’t get better than that. If you are in Atlanta I couldn’t recommend the folks at JCPenney Optical at Northlake any more. Regardless of where you live you can find the JCPenney Optical closest to you here!

Cute frames! Mine kind of look like that too!
They look so cute on you! I’m glad you had fun with George! Your new frames remind me of my Ralph Lauren ones; they’re similar but yellow on the inside so I kind of brightens the eye area! I need some new frames though, I may stop by JC Penney Optical to see if I can find somebody as helpful as George 🙂

I started wearing glasses a few years ago and I’ve never looked back! They’re so much more comfortable than contacts in my opinion!
