Fourth of July is one of those great typical American family holidays – know what I mean? It’s one for food, fun, maybe a drink or two, and making memories with your favorite people.
And we had a great Fourth of July weekend this year – I love it when it falls on a day that extends the weekend out. We had lots of pool time with friends, got ice cream twice, pizza twice, and really just enjoyed hanging out and making memories as a family.
In case the pictures don’t make it clear these kids have been melting my heart on repeat lately. Tripp thinks his sister is hilarious. And she LOVES on him. There’s lots of “oh bubby you cute” “messy bubby!” when he’s eating, and of course on of my favorite things to hear Maddie Grace say is “mama I wanna hold it” – referring to when she wants Tripp to sit in her lap. Also anytime he gets upset Maddie Grace starts singing him lullabies “hush little baby…” or “twinkle, twinkle, little star…” or goes “awwww bubby hurt, needs kiss” and gives him the sweetest kisses. Maddie Grace also discovered what a tea party was at the pool and now wants to have tea parties all day every day.
As you probably know if you follow my blog I take lots of pictures and love capturing videos, and my favorite are of special occasions like Fourth of July and the sweet moments between my kids. XFINITY‘s Share app is great for sharing these special family moments with our extended family. You can live stream from events to other peoples’ TV’s or mobile devices. That way you can share these great holidays and events with family and friends who live far away, and they can watch them on the biggest screen in their house as you record on your phone. There is really nothing else like it out there! As my family lives all over the country, and over the world, it’s really perfect for us.
And now it’s the weekend again [insert praise hands here]. We really aren’t doing much of anything this weekend. Maybe painting the house some, some yardwork, put together some of the furniture I ordered, and do 20 loads of laundry. We also want to check out the newly reopened Children’s Garden at the Atlanta Botanical Garden and make it to church again so I’m sure we will find a way to keep busy! Would love to hear your weekend plans below!
Seems like you guys had a great time 🙂 Beautiful pictures!
Looks like such a fun weekend! WE have no plans this weekend either and I’m praying it stays that way!
