Exciting news – tomorrow (at 3 AM EST to be exact) the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public! Last week I shared my Ultimate Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Guide but had only picked up a few items from my local store during the presale to share for that post. Since then several Nordstrom boxes have arrived at my doorstep and I wanted to share my absolute favorites from the sale, as well as the items I loved online but unfortunately didn’t work out in real life and I will be returning. I’m also talking about how things fit to hopefully help out anyone interested in ordering the same items. Items are selling out super fast so if there’s anything you even think you might want you’ll want to grab it ASAP!
Okay so let’s jump right into it. My absolute favorite new edition to my closet is this Angie Print Caftan. It’s fun, easy, breastfeeding friendly, postpartum friendly, and unlike anything I already have in my closet. I ordered it in a small and it fits me perfectly (for reference I’m 5’5″ and weigh 130 pounds). I’m 100% certain it’s going to be a go-to for me all fall. As of my posting this it’s still in stock but only in sizes x-small and small. At $31.90 it’s a perfect price point too!
This next piece is kind of sad for me to write about, because I want everyone to be able to buy one and they can’t because it’s sold out. I’m absolutely obsessed with this Socialite Roll-Up Sleeve Woven Romper. I’m for real praying that it magically comes back in stock – goes to show how fast the good stuff sells out. It’s such an easy piece and super comfortable. I’m wearing the small and it fits perfectly. It’s also $31.90 which makes it quite the steal!
Okay this next top is one that seriously disappointed me – it’s the Chloe & Katie Embroidered Woven Top. I was so excited because it looked just my style and buttons up making it breastfeeding friendly, and it was only $27.90. But I hated it on. It just didn’t fit well at all so it is going back to the store. It’s sold out online though but since mine is going back maybe one will become available.
BUT the Hudson Collette skinny jeans I wore with the top above. They’re absolutely amazing. Like I think everyone on the planet should go buy a pair this very minute. Not an exaggeration. I could live in these jeans. I purchased a pair of Hudson’s last year but the ones with buttons on the pockets and where the jeans were super comfortable the buttons drove me crazy and left bruises! The Collette’s don’t have buttons, are the most comfortable jeans you’ll ever put on, and are a great color that goes with anything. They roll up easily and make your behind look amazing. At $99.90 ($205 after sale) they are a piece you need to buy now because you will be wearing them every day. I typically wear a 27 in jeans but in Hudson’s I wear a 26 and they fit me perfectly.
And for shoes the Sperry Quilted Duck Boots I’d been crushing on since I saw the sale catalog now live with me and they are everything I thought they would be. They run large though – I typically wear a 7.5 – 8, so I ordered both the 7 and 8 in these boots and ended up going with the 7 as the 8 were huge on me! These are $79.90 now and go up to $119.95 after sale.
There are a few other things besides the top above that I am sending back. They are the Socialite Tie Shoulder Swing Dress, which was way too tight even though I ordered my normal small, as well as the Make + Model Jogger Lounge Pants, which gave me the worst love handles and were way too tight for sweatpants despite being super soft. I also sent back two other pairs of jeans that I ordered, neither were terrible but neither compared to my Hudson loves above.
Of course I picked up some kid clothes as well! My absolute favorite was this outfit that Tripp is wearing from Peek Kids – the ‘Boys will be Boys’ shirt and Little Peanut pants. The only thing I ended up ordering for Maddie Grace is this Patagonia vest that we ended up keeping. She has wanted to wear it since we opened the box!
My husband finally got some new clothes out of #nsale as well. He’s been wanting some blue pants for work (he insisted they look ‘fresh’) so he ended up with these Nordstrom Chinos in Blue Vintage and got this Nordstrom Dress Shirt to wear with them. He also got these Swims shoes to wear with them – they are on sale at Nordstrom ($119.95) but not part of the anniversary sale. He claims they are the best shoes ever! Tom also got the Vineyard Vines Stripe Jersey Golf Polo and says it is perfect and the Twill Shorts, both of which he can go ahead and wear now!
The sale runs through August 8th so you have time to stock up but don’t wait if something catches your eye. What did you pick up at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? I’d love to hear all about what you kept and what you sent back below!
Great picks! You got something for the whole family and even got photos? That’s awesome!
I LOVE these skinny jeans so much. Also the first two outfits are super duper cute.
Love that romper!
