I’ve been on the search for a good double stroller since Tripp was born in January. We’ve tried several different ones – in line, jogging, side by side, and nothing really met our needs (until now). On one stroller the tires kept going flat one. One was ridiculously hard to push or maneuver. One the kids fought in constantly. Then we were given the opportunity to try a Baby Jogger City Mini Double GT and it’s absolutely perfect for us.
I don’t do a ton of running or off-roading with a stroller so I wanted one that would be better for navigating city streets and the mall. I wanted something that I could easily get through doorways with. That had a smooth ride and with which I wouldn’t have to worry about constantly filling up tires with air. I wanted big canopies with SPF for park days, and the ability to fully recline each seat in case one kid got sleepy or needed a diaper change. And there needed to be something separating the kids so that they aren’t constantly fighting. I also require that a stroller fold easily, not be too heavy, and not take up too much room in my car.
The City Mini Double GT does all this for us and more. The stroller is seriously amazing. It has the smoothest ride of any stroller I’ve pushed. It has two large and plush seats that recline super easily are perfect for both the baby or my toddler. This stroller is incredibly easy to fold up and features a one hand fold. It’s practically flat when folded so it doesn’t take up much room in my trunk and I can still fit plenty of grocery, bags, or whatever else I’m trying to get in there. The multi-position UV 50+ canopies are huge and feature two peek-a boo windows, and there is a height adjustable handlebar. Also the understorage is big enough to hold a purse and any other items you might need to stow away there. The hand brake is super easy to use and ensures that the stroller isn’t rolling away anywhere. And the fabric of the seats is easy to wipe clean so no need to fear blowout diapers or sticky ice cream cones. And perhaps most importantly, there is enough of a divider between the seats that my kids aren’t constantly trying to steal anything the other kid has and fighting.
You can also purchase additional accessories for this stroller to make it even more amazing, like a parent console, bassinet/pram, or weather shield!
What are your favorite features in a stroller?
What a fantastic idea for persons with 2 kids. This must make your life so much simpler. Nice looking ride as well
This looks like a great stroller, I’ll have to keep it in mind! Does it come with an attachment for your car seat, or do you have to buy the separate bassinet/pram specific to the stroller?
So sorry somehow this slipped by me! Yes you do have to buy the attachment specific for your car seat!
