*Thank you Bota Box for sponsoring this post. Regardless all thoughts and opinions are my own and I only recommend products I truly love.
It’s the time of year where everyone starts asking what I’m asking for Mother’s Day and what our plans are. Do I want another necklace with my kids initials on them? I cherish the ones I have but, I already have a few. Do I want to go to brunch with my family? Sure but we do that lots of Sundays. Honestly I don’t think Mother’s Day should be about anything materialistic. Being a mom is the greatest gift that exists. It’s hard, really hard, but it’s also rewarding in ways I never could have imagined. And I think it’s amazing that we have a whole day to celebrate moms and all the hard work that we do. So here is what is really on my Mothers Day gift ideas list this year:
Wine. There’s no better reward for hard work than wine. Or ‘mommy juice’ as it’s called in our house. And don’t just get me a bottle. I want the box. And there is no better boxed wine than Bota Box. I also love that there a mini versions equal to 3 glasses (aka the perfect amount) that are easy to go with us to different festivals, picnics, friends houses, etc. And don’t judge me but I’ve never been good at getting corkscrews out of bottles so everything about boxed wine makes my life easier. And since it takes me forever to drink a box these days I love that they keep air out to keep wine fresh longer. And Bota Box doesn’t break the bank so my kids college fund won’t suffer with this gift. The packaging Bota Box uses is 100% recyclable and through their partnership with Arbor Day Foundation, Bota Box has planted over 200,000 trees across the nation.
A break from the kids. A girlfriend of mine was telling me how last year her husband spent the day with his mom and left her alone with the kids all day on Mother’s Day. Uh… no. I love my kids. I love spending my days with them. But if there is one day when a break is warranted, it’s Mother’s Day. I’m literally with my kids pretty much nonstop 364 days of the year. A one day mini break sounds good for the soul. And my sanity.
Sleep. Just let me sleep in. Get up with the kids, have housework taken care of, and just tell me it’s totally okay to sleep in for once. Part of this means taking the kids out of the house too so they aren’t running around waking me up. Please.
Clean my car. Moms spend so much time in their cars. And with little kids, cars become messy, they just do. And it’s not easy to find the time to clean them or the money to take them somewhere to have detailed. Having my car cleaned inside and out would be a dream come true.
Spa day. I hardly ever make it to the spa. Really I hardly ever even make it to a nail salon because of time and money. A day to get my nails done and have a massage sounds heavenly to me.
So mamas – who feels me? What’s are some of the Mothers Day gift ideas you have on your wish list?
I love the graphics to add a unique touch to it. Your baby looks so adorable, by the way! Advanced happy Mother’s Day to you!
