*Thank you Beall’s Outlet for sponsoring this post. Regardless all thoughts are my own and I only recommend products and brands I truly love.
I can’t believe how fast this summer has flown by. Schools around here start back this month which is crazy. My kids preschool doesn’t start back until the end of August – but this is also Maddie Grace’s last year of preschool before she starts big big kindergarten next year which is literally insane. So I want to make the most of it. However, as a working mom I don’t have a ton of time to get around and stock up on everything we need to back to school, but I wanted to get a head start on it now so that I’m to running around the day before school starts.
My first stop for back to school shopping is always Beall’s Outlet because I know I can get everything I need for the school year at one place and for the best prices. They have literally everything we need for the new school year and then some. Do you have a little one going to preschool this year? Here are what we consider must haves to shop for before the school year starts:
- 5-10 Inexpensive Outfits
- 2 Pairs of Comfortable Shoes
- Cute Backpack
- School Supply Kit (optional – just for fun)
- Books and other education toys to reinforce concepts at home
- Planner (for mom)
I was able to get all of this for each kid on our last trip to Beall’s outfit, which you can check out here:
Both of the kids got to pick out a backpack that they loved for the year. Tripp seriously wants to take his “alligator backpack” around everywhere with him and Maddie Grace sported hers to the library to return some books and get some new ones (so she can earn more summer reading prizes before it ends). They also reached picked out a new lunchbox, and I’m sure no one will be surprised to hear Maddie Grace went with a unicorn one. We also let them each pick out a little school supply kit with calculator, pencils, notebooks, and pencil sharpeners. This was definitely not necessary, my kids both think the calculators are toy phones, but fun for them to play with getting ready for back to school.
Beall’s Outlet has no shortage of school supplies or cute inexpensive outfits for kids to wear to school. Maddie Grace had a lot of fun picking out outfits (and outrageously large bows to go with them) and even Tripp found plenty of outfits that he likes and he’s picky about what he will wear! There were also comfortable shoes. To reinforce concepts they learn at school we also grabbed educational toys and books to have at home. And last but not least I got a planner so I can keep up with school events and activities for our family!
