St. Patrick’s Day in my hometown of Savannah is a huge deal. It’s the second largest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the country and people go all out. We can’t actually be in Savannah on St. Patrick’s Day this year because it’s a Tuesday in tax season but we went this weekend because we knew there would be some early celebrations going on and because my mom was heading back to Germany on Saturday evening.
Saturday we had brunch at one of our favorite places on Tybee, then headed to the Tara Feis festival which consists of lots of Irish music and Irish dancing. Then we had to take my mom to catch her flight and afterwards were able to stop by the restaurant one of my best friends opened with her Dad in Pooler, which was delicious as always.
We decided to turn Sunday into a beach day. Maddie Grace loved splashing in a tidepool and playing in the sand. Okay really she loved eating it. The water was way cold but she still seemed to enjoy getting her feet wet!
Today was gorgeous (81 and sunny) in Atlanta and I took Maddie Grace to the zoo to meet up with some friends which was a blast! I think it’s supposed to be a warm week but we are going to have several rainy days. Hoping we get some park days in!
What are you doing to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?
Cutest family everrrrrrr! What a perfect early celebration!
