For a long time one of my favorite decadent treats has been fried ice cream. There’s a sushi place here in Atlanta that has the most amazing fried ice cream that I always have to get when we go. As with all things I love from restaurants, I just had to find a way to recreate this deliciousness at home and lucky for all of you I found the perfect recipe to do so. Get ready to taste one of the most amazing things you ever will.
Chocolate Syrup
(2) Set up crushed Honey Bunches of Oats in a bowl. Dip ice cream balls one by one in the cereal and make sure cereal evenly covers balls. Return each ball to freezer as soon as you are done. Allow to sit 10-15 minutes.
(3) Take each ball one by one and dip in egg whites in a bowl, and then once again coat in crushed Honey Bunches of Oats, making sure the ball is well covered by cereal. Return each ball to the freezer and allow to sit 30 minutes.
(4) Turn on deep fryer to 375 degrees or heat oil in large pot to 375 degrees. Fry each ball for 30 seconds. Remove from oil and place on plate. Drizzle chocolate syrup over ice cream ball (strawberry syrup would be delicious too). Serve immediately and enjoy!

It's surprisingly easy! And something fun to do!
When I saw the heading for this I thought you would be based in Texas as living in Houston and especially at rodeo time, fried anything is always making the news. This sounds a little scary for my arteries, but Im sure it tastes delicious.
