Oh weekends, why do you always fly by? We kicked this one off with a great start by spending the day with friends at the zoo on Friday. We had an amazing time, and in true Maddie Grace fashion we went the whole day with no nap and met up with friends for dinner in downtown Decatur, one of our favorite spots.
Saturday we attended a couples shower for some friends who are seriously perfectly made for each other. It was a tropical themed shower and a blast for everyone, especially Maddie Grace, who made herself the center of attention running and laughing the entire time.
Afterwards we stopped by some old friends house where Maddie Grace continued having the time of her life by becoming best friends with a sweet dog named Hudson. She couldn’t have been happier with him licking her face and playing fetch with him.
Sunday we took it easy. We went to church, lunch, and then worked on our list of a million projects around the house that I keep referencing. We finished up the day with a family picnic at a park close to our house.
Speaking of all this hanging around in Atlanta, there are a couple upcoming events that I need to let my Atlanta friends know about, because they are too good to miss. First up for all the women on September 10th is the annual Atlanta Sassy City Chicks Girls Night Out shopping event from 6-10 pm at Roswell Historic Cottage. There will be complimentary cocktails and pampering services while you shop sales from clothing, jewelry, handbags, skincare, cosmetics, waist trainers, shoes, accessories and more. You can get a free ticket here with the code GIRLFRIENDS so make sure you snag one before they are all gone!
The next event is one I attended last year and enjoyed so much there was no way I was going to miss it this year, despite the fact we are flying to Europe the next day! It’s Gearapalooza – basically a baby gear expo headed up by the one and only Baby Guy NYC Jamie Grayson (so you know it has to be good) and features the best of the best baby products. Jamie will do a presentation of strollers, car seats, car seat safety, crib mattresses, breast pumps, carriers and more. If you are pregnant, have a baby, or like babies, this is for you. Tickets are $50 and include a light dinner and a gift bag with over $150 worth of goodies. This is the ticket I purchased last year and it was completely worth the money. You also have the option of purchasing a premium ticket for $100 that comes with both the awesome gift bag and a Beco baby carrier (worth $130 itself). There are also thousands of dollars worth of giveaways at Gearapalooza – last year I won a Naturepedic crib mattress (which is amazing) and my friend won a Cybex Aton carseat. This year I can’t wait to take a peak at different baby carriers because I know I want to try a new one this time, I’m hoping to test out the Beco and see how it works! This event will sell out so make sure you purchase a ticket, which you can do here!
We love zoo days, here in Toronto. I will try to get there this week again! Looks like you've had lots to keep you guys busy! xox Christine

Your family is so dang cute. Georgia is on my list of places to visit-I've never been anywhere in the south!
Are these events specific to ATL residents, or can anyone go? I'd love to drive over for them! It sounds like so much fun!
