We had a great Mother’s Day weekend. Between celebrating my birthday on Saturday with some friends to a day with the family on Sunday, I ended the weekend with a full heart, very happy, and ready to take on the week. [p.s. there are Ditto and Parasol Co. coupon codes below] I’m not going to lie, I never get my hopes up for Mother’s Day. I’m just impressed when my husband remembers it. I think the first couple years it’s especially hard on new dads – is the holiday about their mom or the mom of their family now, his kids’ mom. My first Mother’s Day Maddie Grace was just 2 or 3 weeks old. Last year we didn’t do much. And this year… well honestly we still probably wouldn’t have done much except last minute I decided we should, my husband agreed, and we decided to rent a boat on Lake Lanier for a few hours.
We had the most amazing time. The water was a little cold but Maddie Grace got a big kick out of swimming in it, and pretending to push us in. Oh and she loved waving at other boats that we passed.
And I got a big kick out of sitting back, relaxing, and just enjoying time with my family. Oh and snuggling a super cute, sleepy water baby. Oh and these Prada sunglasses – I love. They are from Ditto – it’s a service that’s $24 a month for endless high-end designer eyewear. Get your first month free using the code ‘CASUALCLAIRE‘. If you like to switch out your sunglasses constantly like I do and like wearing designer names in the trendiest styles it’s definitely worth checking out.
Oh and look how cute the kids were when I woke up for Mother’s Day. Their clever daddy put them in these cute shirts from Koco Boutique and diapers from Parasol Co. I’m kind of obsessed with these diapers and wipes right now. They are the cutest designs, the softest diapers you’ll ever feel, and fit exceptionally well. No gaping at the legs or waist, and they hold in the worst of runny newborn poop diapers. They are latex-free, chlorine-free, hypoallergenic, and fragrance free. I mean, Parasol Co. diapers are designed and made in Europe so you know they’re good. You will love Parasol Co. diapers because of how well they work and how cute they are, your baby will love how soft they are and gentile on baby’s skin.
Parasol diapers come as a subscription boxes full of all the diapers and wipes you’ll need until your next box arrives. 4 giant packs of diapers, 3 full-size packs and 3 travel-size packs of wipes run $85/month, or 4 giant packs of diapers run $70/month – and you can switch between the services to make sure you get what you want, when you want it. Want to give Parasol a try? Use the code CLAIRE2016 for $20 off your first box!
