Toys for Nurturers

The last few months I’ve been looking for all the toys and activities to keep my kids eyes off the TV and iPads. I want them to be using this time of their life running around outside, using their hands to make new things, and engaging in pretend play. My three older kids are all total nurturers. My girls love to play mommy, and Tripp has told us for the last few years that he wants to be a doctor when he grows up, specifically a chiropractor. All of them, even Tripp, love caring for things and playing withdolls and stuffed animals. That’s part of why the new interactive toy by Kindi Kids from Moose Toys, the Shiver ‘n’ Shake Rainbow Kate, has been a huge hit with the kids in my house.

This “BABY” as Millie calls her, usually while snatching her from her big sister, is really cute and has all kinds of fun features that make it easy to see why it would be fun for little nurturers. And although Rainbow Kate is a girl, Tripp has been having fun playing with her too because he loves all the doctor stuff! It’s really fun to make her feel better and take care of whatever ailment she is suffering from. Rainbow Kate actually guides them through how to treat her! Your kids will check her temperature, check her heartbeat, rub her with a magic towel to make band aids appear, put a cast on her leg, and so much more. I think her big eyes and colorful hair make her unique and different from our other baby dolls so she’s been the only thing my kids have wanted to play with over the past week that we’ve had her!

And not only is Rainbow Kate super fun but she has some awesome accessories like the doctor kit and the ambulance! The ambulance opens up for a hospital room type atmosphere to play with her in and can roll around. Any of the Kindi dolls can actually ride on top too! And the doctor kit, of course, has all kinds of tools for taking care of the cutest little patient around.
