Wedding Weekends

I’m glad I didn’t have a post that HAD to be posted by a certain time today. I’ve come down with some type of illness and basically just want to lay in bed and not use my brain. But I did want to write up a little life update while I lay in bed so bear with me through this.

Over the weekend we went to Savannah for the wedding of one of my best friends since freshman year of high school. Yep – we were assigned as partners for a project the first week of school, one that we forgot to do and threw together during lunch and ended up being the only group in the class to get a 100 on it, and have been going strong ever since. They kicked off the wedding events Friday with a pool party rehearsal dinner which I thought was genius. The kids there actually enjoyed themselves, the food was delicious, and everyone was able to actually talk to each other which was important since a lot of friends and family traveled out of town for the event.

And the wedding. Oh man, it was easily one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever been to, and the only wedding I’ve ever been a bridesmaid in. Every little detail of the wedding was just perfect, and now they are in Thailand together for an amazing honeymoon. Celebrating the love of couples that are clearly made for each other is kind of one of my favorite things in life. This weekend we have another wedding for an awesome couple that I know is going to be great as well and I can’t wait!

Thankfully I really haven’t had much planned the last few days so I can let whatever illness this is run its course. Maddie Grace has her 15 month shots tomorrow, I work Thursday and Friday we have a play date and the next wedding festivities begin so I need to recover quick!
