People tell me all the time how impressed they are that my husband and I are active with our kids. We travel with our kids, eat out with our kids, take them on all types of activities… because if not we wouldn’t be doing anything and what type of life is that? Eating out always surprises me when people say they don’t like to do it with their young children because it’s one of my favorite activities. I really look forward to our lunch dates with friends throughout the week and as I don’t have family or a regular babysitter for me to be able to go I have to take the kids! So how can you make it more enjoyable? Here are some tips:
(1) Find places with food both you and your kids love.
Not only do I want healthy and delicious food for myself, I want healthy and delicious food for my kids. This means something other than fried and cheesy foods that are usually all you’ll find on kids menus. This makes Zoë’s Kitchen my favorite spot to go with the kids, and thank goodness there are several locations all over Atlanta, including one off Cobb Parkway which is right by my husband’s office so we love going there to grab lunch with him! Food from Zoë’s Kitchen makes us feel good from the inside out! Check out their awesome menu here!
(2) Eat places where food comes out quickly.
I also love that Zoë’s Kitchen has quality food but it comes out quickly, because we all know that toddlers do not like waiting. We all know that toddlers are not patient and a hangry toddler is a mom’s worst nightmare.
(3) Bring snacks.
Even though you are there purchasing food for your child, it will inevitably take a minute or two before the food comes and your toddler and/or baby is sure to scream during this time if they do not have the instant gratification of a snack.
(4) Charge your iPad.
IPads are crucial to eating out with babies or toddlers. Make sure it is charged, has their favorite show downloaded, and ready to go. Then you can just prop it up on the table and make your kid happy – so easy!

Thank you so much for these tips! My baby is only 3 months old so he pretty much just stays in his carrier (if im not wearing him) when we are out to eat and sleeps. But i know that will quickly change!
