I know this isn’t that big of a surprise for everyone, but here it is!
Yes we are expecting baby C #3! I’ve been getting a lot of comments, so I know some people were onto me and since we are pretty far along it was time to announce it to the world. Since people always have a lot of questions (which I don’t mind at all) I’m going ahead and answering some of the most common ones.
When are you due?
My due date is officially February 14th. At the first doctors appointment he actually gave us a due date of February 21st, which I told the doctor I knew had to be off but he insisted his measurement was more accurate, and then at the next ultrasound they said February 14th (which is what my calculations said it should have been). However, so far all of our babies like to be born on the 17th so we are thinking it will be a February 17th baby.
How along are you?
Uhhh somewhere between 16 – 17 weeks? I’m bad at math. I was 13 and 1/2 over 3 weeks ago so….
Wait why did you wait so long to announce?
Okay this is what I’m getting asked more often than anything. And honestly? Because I felt like it. We’ve been so busy. With moving and work and everything else life has I didn’t have time to think much about anything. Plus this baby was… a (welcome and exciting) surprise! It think it took me a little while to come to turns with it myself, much less be ready to share it with the world!
What is the gender?
We know but I want a cute way to announce it to the world so hold on a few more days/weeks.
How are you feeling?
Terrible. I hate saying that because being able to be pregnant is such a blessing in and of itself, but I’ve been really, really sick. I’m starting to feel better (finally) but still will suddenly have to puke everything I ate the last day. This has been the hardest pregnancy so far and I’ve realized how lucky I was to not have any morning sickness with Tripp and hardly any with Maddie Grace. There were many first trimester days where I just laid in bed and puked all day. Thankfully babies are worth it.
How far apart will your kids be?
If the baby comes around due date Maddie Grace will be 2 months shy of turning 4 and Tripp have turned 2 the month before.
Will there be more kids after this?
Woah. You might be surprised how often I’ve been asked this. But honestly no, I don’t there will be any more biological kids after this. Mostly because of how sick I’ve been this pregnancy. There’s a good chance we will consider adoption later on down the road though – I’ve always said I wanted 4 kids total but let’s see how adding a third goes before we commit to anything.
