This is our first year with a front porch! And not going to lie – one of the reasons I was excited about adding a front porch to our house was so that we could decorate for different occasions. Especially for fall and the holidays. And although fall is here, I kind of skipped decorating our porch for it this year because we have SO much going on. So we skipped forward and started planning out our holiday decorations for our porch and how we want to configure things and get a rough idea of what we still need to get so I can start shopping.
We decided that our porch decorations should really surround the obvious – the lights! I wanted to do something fun and different with lights so we are going with the new EZ-Illuminations Super Sparkle Lights on the railing and using EZ-Illuminations LED Flame Bulbs in the sconces and light fixture.
The EZ-Illuminations Super Sparkle Lights are so pretty and add such a festive touch to the porch. Each bulb sparkles independently to create a unique lighting effect. The EZ-Illuminations LED Flame Bulbs look like real fire in your lamps but are totally safe to use inside or outside your home! They would be perfect for a holiday tablescape. I also think these will be really fun to use outside and inside around halloween.
We started by wrapping the EZ-Illuminations Super Sparkle lights around the railing and the stair columns. We then added outdoor ribbons. Naturally, we are going to build onto this a lot over the next couple of months. I’d like to add some type of sparkly trees to our planters by our doors, a wreath, a garland over the front door, and plenty of lanterns around the steps with the EZ-Illuminations LED Flame Bulbs.
The lights were super easy to connect together and set up — the kids even got to help! As someone who never even got around to putting up lights last year (but we didn’t have a porch to decorate then) this is super exciting!
What are your go to outdoor home decorations for the holidays? Would love to hear more about it below!
Looks great! We just put ours up yesterday, I will be shopping this weekend to look for a few more fun details 🙂
