When babies hit 2 months they start drooling like crazy. And they don’t stop until… I’m not sure when they stop, but I think it keeps going for a while. I’ve been having to change Maddie Grace’s outfits around three times a day because she ends up soaking wet from her own drool.
Oh bibdanas. You keep my baby’s clothes dry, while making her look modern. Say goodbye to bibs as you know them, and hello to the 21st century. These bibdanas are from Guguberry, a stylish baby accessory shop on Etsy.
I absolutely adore the cotton fabrics these bibdanas are made with. They are trendy and fun yet versatile. The backing fabric is a super soft white minky. The bibdanas are very well made, and while they run just a little big on my 4.5 month old, they will grow with her and should fit her for a while.
I love that the bibdanas absorb Maddie Grace’s drool, keeping her outfits dry against her skin, which means she is more comfortable and makes her outfits last longer. The bibdanas snap, which is great because Maddie Grace can’t figure out how to take them off (as she has her disposable diapers) and because I hate washing anything with velcro on it.
Guguberry’s owner/creator Keri says:
“Hi, I’m Keri, and I’m the one behind Guguberry! I love being a wife and mother, and have always wanted a large family. I married my best friend when I was 18 and he was 20, and we have now been married for 13 years! We have five awesome children! Our oldest is 11, then 9, 7,4, and 21months. I love being a stay at home mom, I fully believe it’s the most challenging job, but right where I am suppose to be! I love coffee with lots of creamer, warm fall days with the windows open and a candle lit on the table. I’m a late night owl and not a morning person ( which is why I need all the coffee! ) one of my favorite things to do is meet a friend at Panera bread ( or my husband ) and just enjoy talking and hanging out! It’s just cozy!
About three years ago, after we had our first four children my husband really encouraged me to find something I liked to do on my own. A hobby of some kind. I had asked for a sewing machine at Christmas time because I wanted to learn how to sew, and just make a few things if I had some free time. I had not touched a sewing machine since home ec class in middle school. I’m not even sure why I decided to try to make a baby bib, but I did. And within a few short days, with my husband setting it all up, Guguberry was started! Since that time, We added our fifth little guy. After he arrived, I took about 8 months off before I could really start focusing more on my “hobby” again. 🙂
I know it’s different for everyone, and it may be a surprise, but this has been such a challenging time for me. Most of the time I feel like I am taking precious time away from my children or my husband because I need to be sewing instead of spending time with them. I have seen God use this challenging time in my personal life to really grow my faith, and show me how much I do need to rely on Him! He has shown me over and over that His hand is in this, and I just want all the glory to go to Him.
I have loved meeting such wonderful mamas through all of this, I am honored that they would even think of using my items for there precious little ones!
Maddie Grace clearly approves of these bibdanas.
