Do you like warm apple cider on chilly Fall nights? Do you like your house to smell amazing? If the answer to one or both of these is yes, this is the perfect recipe for you. And guess what? It’s easy, simple, yes simple enough for anyone, and you can brag to your friends and family about making apple cider from scratch and in the crock pot. And it’s delicious.
Here’s what you need:
10 Medium Sized Red Apples {I used gala because they were on sale}
1.5 Tablespoons Cinnamon
1 Dash Ginger
2 Tablespoons Allspice
1 Tablespoon Whole Cloves
And here’s what you do:
Core your apples and cut them into chunks.
Throw apple chunks and all your spices into crockpot or slow cooker. Cover with water (should be several glasses full).
Cook on high for around 8 hours, stirring occasionally.
You can drain the chunks out of your cider or leave them in there, it’s up to you, If serving immediately you can always just spoon out the cider around the chunks.
Enjoy! (Or, if you want to spice things up a little more like I do, add a dash of rum to your mug here.)
Yum! This looks soo good! I think the rum is necessary!
Haha yes if you ask me the rum makes it even better!
