We had the most amazing trip to Asheville this weekend. Asheville is a place we try to get to about once a year as it’s only a 3 hour drive from Atlanta and has a lot of fun stuff. I mean the Biltmore would be enough for me to visit, but there are a lot of other fun things too. My husband was working in Charlotte so I drove to Charlotte on Thursday with Maddie Grace first and spent the night there. On Friday MG and I found a gorgeous greenway that I was able to go for a run on, and snap some pictures of course.
Then we headed to Asheville where we rented an amazing cabin for the weekend. I felt like we were out in nature, although we had heat and didn’t have to sleep outside. We were only 10 minutes from downtown Asheville though so it was perfect
Saturday was MG’s 9 month birthday (so crazy) and I started the day off by getting a deep tissue massage while Maddie Grace and Tom hung out in downtown Asheville. Afterwards we grabbed lunch and hung out downtown a little longer, and let MG play at a bookstore where she basically made out with another baby whose dad was wearing shorts and birkenstock sandals even though it was very cold outside. Typical Asheville.
After downtown we headed to the Biltmore and toured the house. It was getting late, and since we came after 2:00 we could come back the next day without paying again so we took some pictures and then headed to dinner at a local restaurant before going back to our cabin.
Sunday we got up and returned to the Biltmore to get the amazing ice cream they sell there, and hike around the grounds. It was a beautiful day just cold!
Monday we were still in Charlotte so MG and I explored downtown, and then had dinner with a friend.
This was a picture overload, I know. And that’s not even half of the pictures I took. But don’t worry, I’ll post more in MG’s 9 month update!
Such a pretty place!
I know I love it!
Y'all got some fantastic photos of the house! Lol. Birks and shorts are totally typical Asheville. I love that place!
Thanks! And yes me too, great fashion choices haha!
Incredible architecture! If I were you I living 3 hours away from such a magnificent place, I'd also make it a point to visit there. 🙂
You've got a beautiful family too. You're baby is adorable. 🙂
Thank you so much, your comment made my day!
